COVID Safety
Covid-19 Safety Policy
In order to make Camp Nai Nai Nai the safest and most awesome experience for everyone, all campers, staff, and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated to participate. Everyone must prove that they have completed a full vaccine course no later than 14 days prior to camp, AND must have proof of a negative PCR Covid-19 test taken within 96 hours of arriving to camp. Additionally, we will be providing a rapid test to administer upon arrival to camp. With these measures in place, once we are in the Camp Nai “bubble” we will be able to enjoy camp life to the fullest without social distancing or a mask requirement.
*As of April 20th from camp’s covid advisors:
If a camper shows a positive test result after 4/25 – they need to stay home.
For a covid infection that occurred between 2/5 and 4/25 – it is ok to attend the event without a PCR or a Rapid test. The logic is that having the infection provides improved immunity and there is a chance the tests will continue to show positive, even though the infection has been resolved since the individual is within 90 days of the previous infection. That said, the person needs to provide proof of a positive covid test and the date to ensure it was between the dates noted above. If the individual has not had covid or had covid prior to 2/5, they need to show a negative PCR test prior to attending. There is a slight chance that someone who had covid recently before 2/5, may still show a positive PCR. If this is the case, the individual needs to have a physician’s note that the test result is due to residual pieces of inactive covid virus and not an active infection. A physician can determine this by the test result particulars. Masks are not needed for any of the situations above (obviously, if the person has an active infection, they will not attend). Single rooms are not needed for any of the situations above but will be available for individuals who become symptomatic during the camp event. As for PCR tests, it may come to pass that an individual is still waiting on their test results when it comes time to travel. If this is the case, have the person do a rapid test prior to travel and then upon arrival at camp. This is not a substitute for doing the PCR, but sometimes the results can take longer than expected.
Additional Safety Measures
We recognize that returning to large social events can be jarring and we want you to feel comfortable, so we’ve taken a few extra steps to ensure that.
- Vaxxed & Tested: All campers and staff must be both fully vaccinated and show proof of a negative PCR (NOT RAPID) Covid-19 test, taken within 96 hours, either upon arrival or at the bus pick up location. Additionally, we will be providing a rapid test to administer upon arrival to camp.
- Space it out: During the day even outside maintain 6 ft between one another.
- Outdoor Fun: Most camp activities will occur outside, weather permitting.
Where Can I Submit My Proof of Vaccination?
We get that you might not have your proof of vaccination handy when registering for camp. If you do not upload your proof of vaccination during your camp registration or prefer to email it, you may send it to seeyou@campnainainai.org.
Who Sees My Proof of Vaccination?
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Your proof of vaccination will be verified by the Moishe House Camp Director and transferred confidentially to the Moishe House Risk Manager. These will be kept on file in Risk Management only; all other copies will be destroyed.
